The Monterey Peninsula Unified School District has recently increased its pay for 12-month preschool teachers. The starting pay rate is $50,000 annually and up to $70,000 depending on an candidate's qualifications and experience.
The district offers a $5,000 bonus retention stipend, as well as health care benefits, retirement plan, and holiday and sick pay.
