During the 2023-2024 school year, we employed 30 speech language pathologists who worked with students in need of support within each of our schools and programs.
School speech pathologists work with students on language development, vocal ability, fluency or stuttering, articulation, pragmatics, swallowing and augmentative communication.
Speech pathologists at MPUSD ensure that those in need receive individualized attention and assistance tailored to their specific communication challenges.
Our speech pathologists also collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create comprehensive intervention plans that promote academic success and social integration for students.
Saturday, May 18 is recognized as National Speech Pathologist Day. This day serves as an opportunity to recognize and appreciate the invaluable contributions of speech pathologists in helping students overcome communication barriers and reach their full potential.
