It's time to get your child's bus pass for the 2024-2025 school year. Registration for passes will begin July 8, 2024, with a priority to those students who qualify (for a free bus pass - see qualifications below). Beginning July 22, bus pass registration will open up to the entire student population.
- July 8 - 19, 2024: Priority registration for those students who qualify for a free bus pass* (see below for qualifications)
- July 22 - August 2, 2024: General registration for all students
- CLOSED: August 5 - 7, 2024 for department training and staff development
Bus passes are only sold in person at the MPUSD Transportation Department located at 540 Canyon Del Rey in Del Rey Oaks (Monterey).

Proof of address is needed. Please bring a rental agreement, property tax or home loan agreement, utility bill, etc. to show proof.

* FREE bus pass - based on income eligibility. Learn about the minimum requirements to qualify. You must also bring all sources of income within the household (before taxes) - W-2 and last two weeks pay stubs or current eligibility for CalFresh, CalWORKS, FDPIR, TANF, or SNAP benefits.
Special Education Transportation
If your student has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) that includes transportation as a necessary service and you are requesting busing for the 2024-2025 school year, please complete a Transportation Request Form (noted below). It is extremely important to submit a form as early as possible to ensure your student receives busing and prevent extended delay. It normally takes 5 to 7 business days for normal processing and up to two weeks to route new students during peak times such as the beginning of the school year.
