Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees (“Board”) of the Monterey-Peninsula Unified School District (“District”) at its regular meeting to be held on July 23, 2024, will hold a Public Hearing regarding the Proposed Conveyance of a Public Utility Easement to California-American Water Company (“Cal-Am”).
Pursuant to Education Code section 17556, et seq., on June 25, 2024, the Board adopted a Resolution of Intention to dedicate and convey to Cal-Am a public utility easement over the District’s Real Property. A copy of the approved Resolution of Intention is available upon request.
Pursuant to Education Code 17557, the Board of Education will hold a public hearing at the July 23, 2024, Regular Board Meeting upon the question of making the conveyance of the Easements to Cal-Am pursuant to Education Code Sections 17558 and 17559, at which time any interested person may appear and be heard thereon. The hearing is scheduled to take place at 6:30 p.m. at 540 Canyon Del Rey in Monterey (Del Rey Oaks). Participants can attend the meeting in person or via Zoom.
