Student-Led Elementary, TK-8, Middle School Conferences | March 6 - 14, 2025

In recent years, many Monterey Peninsula Unified School District schools have conducted student-led conferences, where the student shares their portfolio of work and discusses progress with family members. These types of conferences allow students to advocate for their own learning, demonstrate responsibility for their academic performance, encourage students to reflect on their abilities and achievements, as well as help them develop skills they can use beyond school.

This is a wonderful experience and opportunity for students, parents, and teachers to come together, share insights, and gain a deeper understanding of a student's strengths, needs, behaviors, and learning styles—fostering collaboration and informed support for their success.

Conferences can also help strengthen relationships and further support student learning. They provide an opportunity to supplement the casual, daily conversations that teachers may have with families by providing more comprehensive information about a student’s progress and allowing time for deep conversation.

MPUSD's elementary, transitional kindergarten through 8th grade (TK-8), and middle schools will hold parent/teacher/student-led conferences March 6 - 14, 2025. Look for information coming soon from each school. Elementary school students will release at 12:50 p.m. and middle school students will release at 1:30 p.m.

Look for information coming soon from each elementary, transitional kindergarten through 8th grade, or middle school on how your child's student-led conference will be conducted.
