MPUSD Recognizes its Assistant Principals During National Assistant Principals Week

April 7-11, 2025, marks National Assistant Principals Week, a time to recognize the dedication and impact of assistant principals across the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District. At MPUSD, our assistant principals play a crucial role in fostering student success, supporting principals and teachers, and ensuring our schools run smoothly every day. From elementary and TK-8 schools to middle and high schools, they are the backbone of strong leadership, helping create safe, inclusive, and high-achieving learning environments.

We are proud to celebrate our assistant principals at our eight elementary and TK-8 schools, two middle schools, and six alternative education and comprehensive high schools. Their leadership, commitment, and tireless support for students, staff, and families make a difference every day.

Assistant principals wear many hats—mentors, problem-solvers, advocates, and instructional leaders. They work behind the scenes and on the front lines, ensuring students receive the support they need academically, socially, and emotionally. Whether coordinating programs, handling discipline with compassion, or inspiring a love of learning, their contributions shape the future of MPUSD.

Join us in thanking and celebrating our incredible assistant principals this week - April 7 - 11, 2025, and every week. Share a note of appreciation, send a kind word, or simply let them know how much they are valued. MPUSD is stronger because of them!
