Specialized Training and Educational Programs for Students

Welcome to STEPS

Dear Parents, Adult Students, and Community Partners,

STEPS classes strive to provide specialized training and educational programs for students. Students who require instruction based on California Connector standards and direct instruction of self-help and daily living skills can be referred to this program beginning at age 3 and ending when the child achieves a regular high school diploma or reaches the age of 22, whichever comes first. Classes are currently located at Marina Children's Center, Ord Terrace Elementary School, Seaside Middle School, Seaside High School, and the Monterey Adult School campuses.

It is our pleasure to have the opportunity to serve our students and partner with families and community service providers each year. Should you have questions or concerns about your child's program who is currently supported within STEPS please don’t hesitate to contact classroom teachers or related services staff. You may also contact our office with any complements or comments regarding the STEPS program. If you have questions about a potential referral to the STEPS program or have moved into the MPUSD attendance area and believe your child requires this intensive level of support, please contact our main office.

Thank you for the opportunity to work with or to continue to work with your student.

Sincerely,
Heather Cheatham & Katie Rivera
